The Vuary quarter

The Vuary quarter has existed since the Middle Ages. It has its own ditches which can be seen on a map from 1778, along with the re-routing of the Broye River. Vuary was formerly the tanners’ quarter and is a part of Payerne that has retained its agricultural roots.
