Collegiate Church of Saint Lawrence

The Gothic Collegiate Church of Saint Lawrence was built on the foundations of a former Romanesque church and took almost 150 years to complete (1379- 1525). The bell tower with its four bartizans and spire gives the church its distinctive appearance. The inside of the church is equally stunning. Its magnificent choir stalls date from 1522, and its 16th century organ is the only one of its kind in Switzerland.
